Madeline and her daddy... they are two peas in a pod.
Since I have returned to work and Aaron is currently not working, these two spend a lot of time together - almost every day, which is awesome. She was Daddy's Little Girl right from the beginning.
At times, he has a hard time putting her down for a nap, but I think he just has a hard time putting her down in general. Little Maddie loves to be carried and lifted up high.
Aaron has taken her out on the town quite a little bit (Not so much now that it is cold outside). The two have came and had lunch with mommy quite a bit, which makes my whole day! Plus, everybody loves to see her at the office. And who wouldn't? She's such a peach!
Daddy is definitely taking good care of his girl - playing with her... feeding her... keeping her changed... rocking her... encouraging her to roll over... making weird noises to make her smile... even reading the Bible to her! Isn't that the cutest and bestest Daddy in the whole wide world?

My Maddie Monkey
Isn't it strange how one little outfit quickly becomes the favorite? I love these monkey jammies. Aaron picked them out at Babys R Us. I had a totally girly pair picked out and he held up the red monkeys and said, "What about these?"
How could I say no? Daddy picked out something for his baby girl!
Interestingly enough, Aaron had a little stuffed monkey named "Virgil" when he was a little tyke.
Somebody got Madeline a monkey at one of our showers and of course, we now call him, "Virgil," too.
Isn't that a fun fact?
Sweet Madeline is sitting on my lap as I type this blog entry. She's watching the words go across the screen and I wonder what that little mind is thinking.
She's a very thoughtful baby, always seemingly plotting or wondering about something. Her facial expressions honestly make my heart happy. Sometimes I look into those big blue eyes and think about how much I love her... like I never knew I could love anyone. This must be what they mean by, "a mother's love."
I guess I get it now.
Being a mom is such a trip, but I wouldn't change it for the world.

The 'Beary Cute' Photo Shoot
Our latest "Beary Cute" photo shoot (I get an idea and we pose it... again and again and again). Mommy thinks she is a photographer... But we probably should make a trip to a real photo studio pretty soon.
Aaron and I tried extra, EXTRA hard to get this kid to smile. Instead she grinned and closed her eyes....
Oh well, they're still cute!
Enjoy!

Cute Random Pix Of Madely Poo
Maddie and Mommy Chillin'
This is how we roll...
On Dec. 26, Madeline just wouldn't stop rolling over from her back to her belly! She did it over and over again! Daddy left the room and there was Madeline on her belly! Mommy left the room and there was Madeline on her belly! She's so strong! She loves to sit and stand with support. She giggles and giggles now and thinks Peek-A-Boo is very, very funny. She also thinks "I'm gonna get you!" is pretty funny, too.
Madeline fell asleep on the floor today (Dec. 26) which is pretty rare. She usually gets rocked to sleep, but today she fell asleep watching her "buddy," the ceiling fan.
