Precious moments with Madeline

Isn't she sweet? Look at our girl smile!
These are the simple things that warm our hearts each and every day and make us so very glad to be your parents, Madeline! You're growing so fast and developing such a personality!
Hearing you giggle and babble is the best. You are our bright, happy little ray of sunshine with the most kissable cheeks and a ticklish little tummy and neck.
You crack us up when you get so happy that you wave and kick your little arms and SQUEAAAALLLL in delight.
You're our little princess baby!

Madely Pooh goes to Red Lobster

Madeline went to Red Lobster on Sunday for a very belated anniversary celebration for grammy and papa. It was her first time there and daddy's, too! It was grammy and papa's first time there, too!

As you can see, she enjoyed looking over the menu... actually, drooling over the menu!

Uncle Jason got a big, ugly lobster... which had the consistency of a june bug and looked similar, as well. He liked it. YUCK!

Almost everybody else, including the mommy, had yummy tilapia. Mmm... and cheesy biscuits!

Madeline feasted on her bottle and sampled some mashed potatoes. Someday soon we'll have to go back when she can sink her teeth into some real food.

Rub-a-dub-dub

Madeline usually loves her bath! I always tell her, "bath time is the best time!" She usually smiles at that.

Lastnight, I put her in the big tub. It wasn't the first time she has been in it, but it was the first time that I actually joined her!

I put on a swim suit (and there will be no pictures of that!) and hopped in the tub with her! We had quite a little fun splish splashing!

She already outgrew her baby bath, which she liked a lot! Now, it won't be long and she will be too big for the kitchen sink, so she is going to have to start getting used to her big girl tub!

At last measure, our tall girl is 28 1/2 inches long! Uncle Jason says we're going to make a fortune on her in the WNBA.... unlikely. But there is no doubt she is going to be a tall girl like mommy and daddy.

Maddie on the move

My girl is gonna be a shop-aholic.
But... phew-wee is it hard to carry this kid around Birch Run! We did the stroller for a little bit... but soon figured out that a jogger stroller is none too convenient to push around tiny racks of clothing and other goodies.

Thankfully, I had some help in that department! Thanks for pushing and carrying the 20 pound baby, ladies!

Here's a picture of Maddie's first ride in a shopping cart (at Bad Axe K-mart). I didn't think the photo would turn out too good, but since it is just posted online, it's ok.

Aaron took this just before she fell asleep in the cart!

Madeline's first football fiasco!

Uncle Jason has a plan.

He has informed mommy and daddy that he must have a picture of Madeline on Superbowl Sunday until she is old enough to say "Enough is enough, Uncle Jason!"

The day she decides she does not like football will be a sad day in our home... Both mommy and daddy enjoy watching football.... the good ol' pigskin!

For now, baby girl seems to love watching the brightly colored teams prance back and forth, catching the funny brown ball. Everybody (non-football fans) says it will pass and she won't always like football... but I hope not!

Here are two pictures of Madely Poo on her first Superbowl Sunday at Uncle Jason's house.

Smiling for the camera! Weeeee.... Uncle Jason is an alright guy! And my oh my how fun it is to yank those glasses off his face!

I think it's safe to say that Uncle Jason gets a pretty big kick outta you, Miss Madeline! You even got special treatment over his prized pooch, Hannah! You rate pretty high!

Elk? What elk?

Ohhhh.... you mean that big ol' elk behind their heads? Yeah, he set the romantic tone for their 33rd anniversary in 2007.
We (Aaron and I and my brother, Jason) took them to Dixie Dave's in Birch Run for a special treat since they both wanted to go there.

I believe they had fish... but I am not sure. Jason had elk, I think...

I may have had some kind of pork chops and Aaron and I can't remember what he had.

Today, Feb. 2, (aka Groundhog's Day) is mom and dad's 35th anniversary. They didn't go any place special this year... and they are actually not feeling too good, which is poopy.

We'll have to celebrate this weekend!

Madeline says, "Happy 35th anniversary to Grammy and Papa."
